The GOAT has signed up to play Taylor Made....which makes my world spin even more as a Nike Advisory Staff Professional who is still seeking therapy about the Swoosh exiting the hard goods side of the business.
It's just weird. It's like he got married to his brothers x-wife or something. Taylor Made, who was long associated with Adidas, was a borderline enemy of the Nike Golf Company. I could remember rumors swirling about stolen ideas, reverse engineering, and TM jumping Nike launch dates to try to smoke screen Nike product.
Not to mention Nike and Adidas are the two biggest games in town when it comes to athletic apparel. These two heavy weights trade blows in other sports every day...and now Tiger...who WAS Nike Golf....is now playing what some people perceive as "Adidas's clubs". The world is a scary place and it just got a bit scarier for this guy.
